In early 1980, Synergy began its journey in Southern California as Santiago Data Systems, Inc., founded by Thomas Banks, for the purpose of developing innovative software solutions for managing the business, financial and communication sides of Medical and Dental Practices. |

Concerned about the lack of capabilities and the limitations of many “medical billing software programs”, Santiago Data Systems dedicated time and resources into developing a more versatile and productive full service practice management system designed specifically for the needs of a successful medical billing center business. We worked very hard in the research and development of Electronic Claims Technology; working closely with the powers in this fast growing industry such as, GTE, Metlife, Blue Cross, Blue Shield and NEIC. Our commitment to the healthcare industry earned Santiago Data Systems a place in the Medicare Hall of Fame, along with the respect of healthcare professionals nationwide.
Santiago grew confident they had developed a superior software program, which led them into assisting business professionals in operating their own medical billing, practice management and software sales business. Their first software product, OneClaim Plus, was enhanced to become the only software product on the market that was developed for the growing needs of a medical billing center business.
In the late 1990’s and approximately 800 billing centers later, Practice Manager 2000 was developed utilizing the expertise of our established medical billing business owners. A Medical Billing Business Center Training Program and Marketing Support Department was established to further assist our medical billing center clients with their operations.
Then in May 2003, “Synergy” was born to more accurately reflect our synergistic methods and our core philosophies of building success in the medical billing industry. Synergy Medical Information Systems soon released the highly-acclaimed Practice Manager X3 to over 1,500 existing clients and to the new businesses coming aboard.
Synergy Medical Information Systems solutions and staff knowledge have enabled our medical billing center owners to offer quality services necessary to generate a successful business. Synergy is greatly proud of the large network of successful medical billing center owners operating their own Synergy Medical Billing Center business. These men and women come from all walks of life, most of whom have had no prior experience in the medical billing industry or the healthcare arena. We are looking for business savvy folks who are passionate about what they want to do, will be conscious to the needs of their clients, will manage and motivate themselves, all while promoting their business successfully and professionally.
